Matthew has been involved with property his entire working life, starting his career in estate agency prior to surveying and has over 25 years experience in the West Sussex area.
After qualifying with a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying and becoming a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as well as a Registered Valuer, Matthew joined a firm of Chartered Surveyors covering Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire conducting surveys on a wide variety of property. He gained further extensive experience with a large national firm and a smaller independent company before opening his own practice.
Such experience ensures a professional and knowledgeable service, with the unique perspective of not only a surveyor, but also a respected estate agent with a comprehensive understanding of the property market.

Also known as a Level 2 survey, suitable for modern properties including flats but also buildings from the early 20th Century onwards. An overview of the property is provided, together with photos and succinct advice with regard to areas of concern and repairs required.
Also known as a Level 3 survey. A comprehensive report with a high level of detail regarding the property, its construction, defects and necessary works together with numerous photographs. Generally suitable for period and listed properties, buildings of a complex nature or those where issues are suspected.
New Build Snagging Report
'Snagging' refers to elements of a new build property that are damaged, poorly fitted or unfinished. Whilst many are minor, some can be more serious and compromise the structural integrity of the building. Our report highlights all such issues and enables you to approach the developer to rectify matters.
